PADEC’s Focus:
Carry out commissioned research and support services on various topical issues
that impact on the economic, political and social state of the African region.
These include, but are not limited to issues on Climate Change, Governance,
HIV/AIDS, International Trade and Development, Migration, North-South and
South-South Relations, Peace and Security, Private Sector Development, Public
Sector Reforms, Regional Integration and Security Sector Reforms.
Through commissioned studies and projects, encourage and
advocate for policies that are pro-growth at the national and
regional levels through the encouragement of the adoption of
sustainable development paradigms aimed at eradicating poverty.
To deepen networking and operational linkages among the various
public and private institutions at the national, regional and
international levels with a view to maximizing the developmental
objectives of Africa.
Build the capacity of senior management in the public and
private sectors through various targeted training activities, theme
focused workshops and conferences.
Encourage cross fertilization of ideas through Policy Dialogue
initiatives by targeting major stakeholders in the public and
private sectors tasked with the responsibility of spearheading the
development of Africa.
To enhance private sector development growth in Africa through
various intervention initiatives designed to enhance trade and
economic development at the regional and international levels.
To encourage and advocate for the adoption of developmental
strategies and policies that are conducive to the creation of
self-sustaining economic growth in Africa.
Create awareness on policies and developmental strategies aimed
at developing an enabling environment that promotes durable peace
and security through cross country and best practice experience
sharing practices.
To offer programs promoting the adoption and implementation of
public sector reforms focusing on efficiency, economy and
effectiveness. |
